Milgauss GV
I've been offered one for $9,500 - brand new with open papers.
Do you guys think that's a fair price? |

The race to buy, to own, to flip, to show, to talk about it ...reminds me of the yacht master 16622 when it first came out, now that everyone who could buy one, has one, they are heavily discounted and most dealers can not sell unless they offer a really low price. My intelligence report on price movements has the BNIB price for the yacht master at $6,000 dollars. For the 116400 and 116400GV the buying is at $6,200 the former and $9,000 the latter. |

I reckon that will be an excellent investment for the future.
If the price is right for you. GET IT.

If you don't mind paying the $3K premium than I would say get it. I visited a small (and somewhat snooty) AD on my lunch hour today. I enquired about a Milgauss...of any color. They have not had any yet and have 2 GV's on order.
When I asked about a GV list I was told..."We only order those for our good customers".....well pardon me |

I'm assuming that you bit your tongue and didn't reply to their snooty remark. I can appreciate your restraint, but I would have had a lot of fun replying to such nonsense. Anyone who buys a Rolex is by definition already a great customer!

Well, personally, I would never pay over list for a current Rolex watch. To each his own, though. If you have the funds and want it badly, go get that stunner!

I just gritted (if that's even a word ) my teeth, gave her the stink eye, said "OK thank you" and walked out. It still galls me to think that they look at someone who wants to spend $7K in their store as someone who is not a good customer. I guess it all has to do with the model of watch. I would have better luck trying to get a mask from King Tut's tomb for crying out loud.

Just came back from the caribbean and visiting with my AD there who sold me my Milgauss GV back in Feb....The scoop is they are still not in production and he has not had any since late last year. He had black and white but no GV. He said GV will be in very limited quantities for the foreseeable future and he does not expect any until Nov. at the earliest.
