Gmt II ?
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Mens-Rolex-GM...item19fdce2ee7
Any experts care to comment on this GMT II? I'm not shopping for a GMT, but I'd hate to see someone get burned by a nice looking fake. The lugs look rough rather than nicely polished. The reference number looks thicker than the modern laser etched reference numbers. The seller seems to specialize in "name" purses and "name" watches. |

Seems to me that the seller is avoiding pics from the cyclope and the handstack.
I'd ask for more and full-frontal pics. |

Looks good. Handstack is right, with the hour hand at the bottom.

OP, the modern reference numbers between the lugs are not laser etched. They're just the same as these. Laser etched ones are fake.

Come on man, most of the watches you list are clearly authentic and your statement about laser etching is incorrect, you need to study Rolex a bit more and be more sure before just posting, you damage people's sales by listing in watchout incorrectly constantly. Of course you can be wrong sometimes but we must be fair I believe to sellers. just my two cents as a member who has posted for many years in watchout.

Watch is fine. Nothing about it gives any cause for concern.

The obvious fakes, well who really cares, no-one is ever going to stop that trade by calling them out, Asian markets are full of them. Watches that are 99.9% certainly good like this one don't warrant questioning in this section either as you point out. |
