Frankly I'm kind of shocked they ended production on this watch and the white face GMT. Yeah the Planet Ocean is a beautiful watch, and I'll enjoy owning one someday, but one of the things I like about Rolex: my sub looks like my dad's sub and so on. Well at least until this year's Basel. I am very disappointed that the Sub is going the way of the big case GMT IIc. No matter how I try, I can't like that watch - and the new Subs just don't do it for me. In the end, glad I own both. Need to get one of those Seiko divers now :)

have you read this Comparative Review of the Omega Seamaster Professional Model 2254.50.00 VS. The Rolex Submariner 16610 Y Series? If not, I can recommend that review highly. The 2254 is a classic, perhaps one of the nicest divers ever designed. Too bad Omega discontinued it!

Two great watches. I like a chunky watch, so I wish the Omega was a little thicker. It's hard to beat though.
