Can you say Rainbow???

Just picked this up!!
I owned a 1999 version of this watch, and traded it in for a Pam005. Finally she has come back to me.... She has the rainbow dial.
M Model year,

I have just picked a 16613 up myself (currently at RSC), in my opinion the most beautiful watch that rolex have ever made! I never heard of it being called a rainbow before..... only bluesy, not sure I'd be comfortable wearing a watch referred to as a "rainbow" on my wrist!!

x2 There's a Rainbow Daytona and that's something else entirely. Beautiful 16613; love the dial!

It was explained to me as a Rainbow Dial by the dealer, who's a trusted dealer from this site. He said it was a factory mistake, or something that they discontinued very quickly, possibly someone can explain that in here.

No I still have my Pam 005 Logo...

was hoping to see maybe a pearlmaster http://www.rolex.com/watches/baselwo...ajor-0002.html or maybe the old daytona rainbow http://floor75.com/2013/04/11/rolex-daytona-rainbow/

but did not realize there was a rainbow dial for the blue subs.. nice, will keep an eye out for one in the flesh.

Simply beautiful! It is, indeed, one of the best looking watches that Rolex makes; or anyone else, for that matter.

Not a great fan of subs in any color, but that one looks very nice on your wrist.

I must be missing something here. What makes this a 'rainbow' and not the regular sunburst dial?

Congratulations, it's a gorgeous blue. I'm with Matt, where's the rainbow? Is it at the 8 - 9 position?
