Flip or no flip?

So recently I was looking for a Datejust 36mm to compliment my SubC, I was torn between the silver dial or blue dial. I felt the silver dial was classic and timeless however I ended up going with the blue because it's a little more interesting and the blue is stunning. I've only worn it a handful of times because I haven't gotten the silver dial Datejust out of my mind. Some days I look at the blue and fall in love, other days not so much... Part of me feels like the silver will age better and again, the silver is timeless and goes with everything.
So, What would you do? Should I flip and get the silver or hold onto this one and hope it grows? Your thoughts?
Here are some shots. It really is stunning in most every lighting condition...

Do you still love the watch, just not the dial?

Not sure I want to go through the trouble of changing the dial.

Blue is gorgeous, I say keep it. Will age just as well as silver.

No point spending money to change it.

Keep the blue dial. Nicer looking and easier to read than the monochrome silver dial.

IMHO you have your answer, if you can afford to do it... why not.

Some will disagree but the silver dial will be more versatile specially if you wear a suit.

I would choose the silver dial.
The blue dial might look captivating at first, but imo, it gets old. The silver is classic and more versatile. And most importantly, seems the one you want.

Change the dial or flip for one with a silver dial.

I like the blue more, give it some more time then flip if you're still not feeling it.

Depends on how long you've had the blue and been thinking about silver.
If it's recent (couple of weeks), give it a little time. You should be able to make a straight swap if you decide to flip.

I vote no flip. Blue is more interesting. Silver dials tend to bore me after awhile.

I was faced with the same decision, went with the silver myself - blue is pretty cool too though.

I love the blue, but sounds like silver will make you happier. Flip and be happy!

Once you get the silver you will miss the blue. Better save and get a silver or white dial.

This is what I'm most afraid of. I guess I was hoping this watch would curb my watch addiction when in actuality It's done the complete opposite...

It's a nice watch, very nice really. The blue varies in different light, a blue dial is distinctive. It offsets the dressy fluted bezel, you really have one nice watch! I'd keep it for a while, fish for compliments ;-)

If you still don't feel it, sayonara

Keep your watch and find a dealer that will sell you a silver dial. Problem solved! ;-)

I would definitely stick with the blue stick dial if it was mine. To me that's classy, sporty and timeless as it gets, all rolled into one.

If you put this to a poll, the blue would win over silver 8 or 9 times out of 10, you made the choice looking at the two, it is the choice I would have made as well.

Enjoy, or look for an old vintage OP with silver or something as a back up.

Before buying my current Datejust I started my search looking for a vintage piece... so I might actually still do that!
