I Already Told Him The Truth About His 1680

Hi, yes I already call him and told him the truth about his watch. So hard to do that, but I think that's a best thing I can do. Mike right, I must tell him the truth. After I call him and tell him the truth, he said to me he happy to know that.
But I think he not surprise a lot. I heard the voice is too calm, and not so surprise.
He is the Pilot, a senior Pilot. And don't really interest with watch whatsoever.
And the good news for me is, he promise to me, if someday he decide to sell his Subby he will contact to me first and sell to me with "Extra Special Price"!!! I'm so glad to know that. That's it.
Thanks Guys for really good advice to me!!! You TRFers THE BEST!!!

Best Regards, TR.

But I am confused I thought he was selling it? Now he's going to keep you in mind and sell at an extra special price if he decides to sell? You sure its the real deal?

I always sleep well every night.
Martin, I wanna explain a bit, sorry to make you confused.
When I go with my Father to me his friends, I know one of 'em wear a Rolex. I see it but not so clearly. All I know that's a Sub with acryllic crystal. So I guess he wear a 1680.
When I talking to my Father in the next day, my Father said his friend want to sell his watch. After I know he want to sell his Sub, I call him. Yes, he want to sell his watch in 10,000,000.- Rupiah (Indonesia) or around USD 1,083.-. So I told him I interesting with his watch. That's it. I don't know the detail about that watch. If someday I meet him again, I wanna make some shots and post here. I think you not confused anymore, right Martin? lol!!!

Thanks TR, I suppose I was also picking up on the mute reaction to when you told him. I thought you wrote the thread like you had some concerns in the back of your mind to his reaction after you told him what he had. No doubt he was surprised at the true value. Again well done on doing the right thing

Thanks Dennis. I think a lot people around the world heard the wrong news about my country. Please don't just hear the bad news about Indonesia. My country have a lot good news too. I'm Chinese, not a real Indonesian native. But I love my country. Thanks for your nice words, Pal.

Best Regards, TR.

Ya, maybe ... it's not from hearsay, just that I had many 1st hand bad experiences with most dealings there. No worries as we are the same, Chinese, no matter which country we are from.

You're a good guy, TR!

Believe me, karma will get you that 1680 sooner than you think.

Nice, TR. At least you have the "first right to refuse" on this 1680, and I do think you've done the right thing in telling him the correct value of his watch. Well done!
