Return trip to my favourite AD

Hey everyone,

Hope everyone had a great Easter - I went with my wife to visit my sister and her family in Stratford-Upon-Avon and stopped by Pragnells for a bit of sight seeing! I always love going there as they are absolutely top drawer for customer care and professionalism!

Anyway - I was shown some rather nice pieces. No sooner had I sat down but a BLRO was placed right in front of me. AMAZING! Pictures really don't do it justice, but I've just added it to my grail list! White gold is so subtle and the dial, yes it is cranberry/purple, but it works really well!

Next up was the Platona. I've tried it on before (last year) at Pragnells, but was shown it again and have to say that it's exceptional. Not only the look of it but the weight. Love it. Not a grail for me though because, ultimately, I doubt I'll ever realistically be in a position to obtain one.

Finally, I tried on the Z-Blue Milgauss GV. Beautiful, so understated and the sunburst dial is something to behold! This watch really speaks to me because I'm a research scientist by profession (PhD Biomedical Engineering) so I've already begun saving as I'm looking to make the Z-Blue GV my 2nd Rolex - next year is my 40th, so why not!

Pics of all 3 - apologies for the Platona shot, for some reason it's a bit blurred.

Rest of the weekend was awesome - BBQ's and chilling out with family. My wife and I go back to Stratford about 3 times a year, but, may look to increase on that as it's a nice place to go to get away from London for a few days.

The Milgauss is a great choice for a 2nd Rolex. Oh and I salute you as a fellow BME!

Here's a clearer shot of the Platona on my wife's wrist. She loves it (and she's not into watches - must be the precious metal lol) Personally, I think it looks better on her skin than mine

BLRO is tagged at £25,500. Don't know how much discount could be negotiated - I take things at face value unless offered otherwise

I left Stratford when I was about 10 and moved to London with my mum. Only started going back a few years ago and rebuild ties with my family up there. Really enjoy going back now - and the tea shops are second to none!

Agree mate, also glad to hear Pragnells are a good outfit, have been dealing with them about a new Basel release but they seem popular and I'm higher on other waiting lists.

Yeah...that's one heck of a trio of watches to try on. I concur with your choice of the milguass...yet to see one in the flesh, but the pics are awesome.

Dang it Mike. I have been trying to tell myself for weeks that the ZBlue can wait. Now I need to make a call about my 2nd. Enabler!
