Notorious BIG's Rolex..?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rolex-18k-Pr...item46380e8a23

While I doubt it is actually his watch, it is an interesting tale...

Who knows...

I have some customers in the hip-hop industry. When I see them I'm reminded that money can buy many things but class and good taste are not among them.

The day window is a clear indicator - the days are all off-center, and it's in-between days in the first picture. "day Tues" - Junk.

Ignoring the fact it looks like something from Dalston Market. His album didn't come out till 94 so he must have been making some serious dough selling crack. He was born in 72 so the late 80's makes him anywhere between say 16-18. Not buying it.

Terrible it doesn't even look like the watch he has on in that picture. Also the presidential bracelet looks soo bad. In the photo it looks like a blue dial..

Seems only the second image is of the actual watch, which looks like a replica to me. The day and date windows are well off and the diamond setting and finish of gold looks terrible, even if they are aftermarket set. Don't think I've ever seen Rolex use that font on a day wheel(?) Very chinese-esque.

Either way, genuine or not, it's disgusting!

It's an awful looking thing. It is definitely true that all the money in the world cannot buy you good taste.

Interesting double sized bracelet. I share his love for Versace sunglasses but not so much on watches.

Would I buy it? If the case and movement checked out, papers in his name and I was drunk, maybe.

It would just be a conversation piece.

I won't lie I've always liked the Versace shades he wore. The silk shirts were kind of nice looking as well. But as with many things over the years. What looks good in an MTV rap video doesn't necessarily look good in rainy England.
