Audemars Royal Oak for YG Sub - sunburst?
What do you guys think?
I am considering trading my 15400 for a YG sub w sunburst dial... I don't wear it much but when I do, I absolutely love the dial and bracelet. On the other hand, I love the look of blue and gold... I posted this in the AP section as well - what do you think? Thanks in advance Neil for the enabling 👊 |

Yes. Do it. For the record AP doesn't suit my personal taste at all (I don't get it) but sunburst blue dial on full YG certainly is.

If it were a 15300, I would say don't do it. The 15400, go for it.

Personally I much rather sport a precious metal Sub than a 15400.

Listen to me!!!!
DONT DO IT. AP RO and Sub are wolds apart. they are not even in the same stratosphere. AP RO is just beautiful. Sub, is a sub (with extra bling). Plain jane compared to AP |

Alex they are both awesome watches. But I am on the Rolex forum because I truly prefer the look of the sub, so doubt either forum is gonna help ya

I went into this thread thinking you were referring to the 116613, not the 116618. I think you should do it if you're not digging the RO. The 15400 is a cool watch, but I would prefer the smaller 15300.

Why?
Makes no sense to me whatsoever. RO is better finished, is an icon and looks great. YG Sub for me is like a gold plated Jeep. If you want precious metal why not a gold RO?

Thanks for the responses everyone.
Def not a straight trade - my RO + $$. The only thing holding me back is the sheer beauty of the RO. Another option is to trade up for a ROC on bracelet. That would have to wait a bit due to some priorities. |
