Here's the Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF): Someone is trying to sell this incredibly fake example. I contacted them explaining that it's easy to see the fact that it is not authentic and to please end the listing in order to not support that industry or scam someone out of money for a less-than-authentic product as it's dishonest business. I received a message back thanking me for my input and that they didn't know it was fake....that was last night (I'm on German time as I'm stationed here, and it is currently 4:51 pm as I write this) and it's still going with even more bids than when I initially contacted the seller.
I reported it earlier and it's apparently up to $100 or so. I would really hate to see some unsuspecting customer get scammed, so perhaps a few more reports will get it taken down? Thoughts? http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...d=271832118945 |

reported (not sure how many reports are needed for eBay to take action ... sometimes auctions stay up with 5 or 6 reports)

I think it's crazy that it takes that many reports for them to take an auction down. I realize the system has the potential to be abused, but clearly there's a time when things shouldn't be sold on their site. This is one of those times. Hopefully it will be taken down. I'm pretty disappointed in the seller for disregarding my attempt to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I'm not sure, but you'd think if five folks said, "Hey, Ebay, you've got a fake on your hands!" They'd take it down!
