Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Gold 15400OR 1.5 link

I am thinking a half link would help gain a better fit on my new AP and there is not much info to be had on what links are available from AP. Would any one know the price of a 1.5 link in Rose Gold and the availability of such a link? I have a call in with an AD but have not heard back and figured someone here must have knowledge of one or might have already purchased one. Any info greatly appreciated.

I'll second the call to Clearwater. From my experience with my 25860's 1.5 link, they had to manufacture them so they waited until a certain number of orders came in and then made them in Switzerland. I believe I waited 4+ months. But it gives me the best fit. Maybe your model will have them premade and in stock.

I am so glad I asked here on this knowledgeable forum. I made a quick call to Clearwater today and they have a few of them on the way, it was surprisingly cheap too The lady I spoke with thought it might be a pricing error but said she had to honor the pricing in their system. She stated I should have it in a couple of weeks. Thank you all so much for the input to call Clearwater.

I paid around $200 USD for one a couple of years ago, for a SS 15400.

I still haven't heard back from the AD where they estimated that it could be around a $1000 for the link. I actually paid very close to your SS link from Clearwater, very happy with that.

I just bought a 1.5 SS link for my 15400 today from Clearwater. I think it was about $240 or so plus tax and shipping.

Would you happen to have the part number for the link ordered? The part number for the link I ordered is MR.404.153.OR which is as follows: 1.5 rose gold link for watch reference 15400OR (I series).

Good you called them.

What's the final price for the link?

This is for the "new style" bracelet. My watch is a recent I Series.

I thought I would give an update on the 1.5 link for any future person or persons considering it.

So long story short the 1.5 link that I got a great deal on was actually the wrong one. After a few phone calls and discussions it was decided that they would like to have the watch shipped to them to figure out what link actually works, install it and then ship it back to me. The first link they sent was a pin with cap screw link which when I first opened knew almost immediately that it was the wrong one, shown below.

As requested I immediately shipped the watch to them next day priority air and thankfully they received it the next day. After looking over the watch they realized that the link they had sent me was the wrong one and installed the correct link.

I was a little disappointed in the fact that I had received the wrong link in the first place as I was going on a short trip and wanted to wear the watch but these things happen. I was also a little disappointed as the correct link was drastically more which I expected it would be but I also now had spent a decent amount to ship the watch to them. In the end AP customer service was exemplary! They 100% refunded the original link, discounted the new link 20%, next day aired the watch for free and also sent some swag with the watch. In the end I have a perfect fitting watch and was very satisfied with their prompt personal attention to my situation.

With out further ado here are a couple pics of the link installed and the watch on my wrist:

Looks good Brian. I'm in the same boat as you except that I need the steel version of the 1.5 link. I posted a WTB but no luck. Looks like I will probably be calling the service center shortly.
