1st Incoming AP!!! Introduced to the Collection...

I'm ecstatic to soon join the AP club in a few moments time. I've patiently waited to find this model and peruse through many watches to finally choose this AP.
But I first wanted to introduce the state of my collection, and what the AP would join...

You can see a few of my pieces are inspired with an automotive background...

1. Heuer Monaco 1133b
Introduced in 1969 as the first square shaped automatic chronograph. This is the model Steve McQueen made famous in the movie "LeMans."

2. Vacheron Toledo 1952
Inspired by the traditional classical elegance of the model in the 1950's, the unique shape has the exact dimensions of the original, which was 36 x 43 mm. It has a complex dome shaped square sapphire crystal...there are no right angles on the bezel, sapphire or lugs.

3. Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time
As the oldest watch manufacturer with rich long tradition in horologic history, this sporty timepiece is a near daily wearer for me.

4. Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso Squadra Hometime
The Reverso was designed in 1931 initially as a flip mechanism to protect the watch for polo players. It is probably the most iconic watch in my collection.

5. Jaeger LeCoultre Duomètre Chronograph
Introduced by JLC in 2007 with the unique complication of a Dual Wing mechanism with single escapement - 2 separate gear trains (power supplies) - one for the time and one for the chronograph. This essentially allows the timekeeping accuracy to be independent of the chronograph complication. Both gear trains are linked to the foudroyante, a "jumping second" hand that jumps every 1/6 second.

6. Linde Werdelin Oktopus II Titanium Red
A great sport utility watch with bold design with a Ceramic bezel and titanium case that allows me to wrestle with kids and play sports without worry.

Those are the main watches in my rotation, and I can't wait to join the AP club. I am waiting to sell a Roger Dubuis Sympathie S37 Biretrograde Day Date Moonphase Chronograph to trade up to the AP....will let you know when this happens!

Thank you to the enablers (Ben and sekihk :) ) ....wasn't hard to guess that I had been lusting after one!
A true work of art....can't wait to strap it on and admire the details from different angles.

Thanks again all!
I'm a huge car enthusiast and cars are my first passion....here are some old and new pics of some of my vehicles.
I used to race in LotusCupUSA for fun...

CGT is my most prized possession...last of the manual supercars ever to be made by Porsche, originally designed for LeMans racing and incredibly advanced for its time with a carbon fiber tub and a ceramic clutch. It's an adrenaline rush once behind the wheel.

Ferrari made 499 of the limited edition 16M Scuderia. 16M pays tribute to the 16 F1 Championships Ferrari has won. This is the last of the Superfast F1 trannies ever to be made with a single clutch transmission. This car feels amazingly light and fast behind the wheel.

Aston Martin V12 Vantage S is the fastest street production car Aston has made to date. Perfectly balanced for the track and civil enough to drive on a daily basis.

The Flying Spur is a great all around family car that allows me to do kid duty. Super comfortable with tons of torque when needed.
