Icon5 Which would you choose? Pix inside...

I've been on TRF for about 1yr and have learned a great deal, including the letters, IBTL... We'll get to that another day, however I have been wanting to add a Precoius metal watch to the line-up and I have thought only about Rolex since, the group of people I know would only know Rolex as being a nice watch...

Then, I started hearing that it may be better to fly under the radar... Hence, the Patek.

I was wondering if you could help me out with some pro's and cons for each:116655 or the 5167R-001

I would probably lean toward the YM, but would have to see them both in the flesh to make a call.

Both are beautiful and you're right about the Patek "flying under the radar." I personally like the YM though.

Rolex. Nothing against the Patek, they just don't do it for me aesthetically.

The PP is nice, but the YM is growing on me. I probably couldn't choose until I bought one, then flipped it for the other

Between these two specifically, I'd go with the YM. Personal preference, of course.

I've been really intrigued by that new YM. I love the aesthetics, but that PP is simply gorgeous as well. It's a damn tough decision between the two of them. That PP exudes more gold imagery, both literally and figuratively, while the YM has less but still fantastic. I personally couldn't choose this very moment but I'd make my decision based on my existing collection and pick the one that best compliments it. As always, you should go with your gut.

Without looking at the photos I think I would have said PP. But seeing them together definitely the YM.

Wish I had that quandary!

I think I would go with the new YM. It looks really nice.
I'd have to try them both on though.

New YM =

5167R =

You can't lose here. Maybe slight edge for me for the YM because of all the "firsts" for Rolex it represents, but both are gorgeous.
