My Rolex Issue

Does anyone ever has this happen to your watch? My brand new GMT bought in February has half of its luminous not lit up. Please see attached picture. Sorry for the bad phone picture. I have contacted my Jeweler, waiting to hear from him back tomorrow. At the mean time, I just want to put this out here to see if anyone has such experience. Thanks for all your advise in advance.

Ugh, not good to see that. Especially given the other recent QC issues with this brand. Bought new from AD?

I've not seen that before. Was the pic taken right after going dark or after being in the dark for a while? If that is right after you turned off the lights it looks like the one half didn't charge at all, almost like it's not even SL material.

Do you wear it on your right wrist and only half the watch is exposed to light due to your shirt?

Right after I walked in to my room. I just checked it again, took it out from my box and it is the same way....

Hmmm, never have seen that before, please keep us posted on the outcome. Since you've had it several months is this the first time you've checked the lume or has it been okay and this is a recent occurrence?

Put in sun for a few min then recheck. Looks like uneven light exposure.

Then it will be fine if it gets full exposure to a light source. For modern lume to suddenly go dim in that pattern is most likely an uneven exposure issue.

This has happened to me in my SS YM II. When one side is under your shirts while the other is fully exposed to a light source this happens.
However, I don't ever remember my BLNR has acted like this before may be it was because I wear it in summer
