15400 dial contrast
Thinking about moving from Rolex to 15400 with white dial and am concerned about contrast. Can anyone comment?

If they were using the white dial from the 15300, I would have selected that. Have you seen them both side by side? |

15300 but still illustrative that contrast isn't an issue

I had the black dialed 15400. I felt the dial looked dull. I wish I would have picked up the white/silver dial version. It looks much better.

I saw both black and white side to side and compared to the Rolexes I have, the contrast was somewhat compromised. I wear a SubC alot and was looking for a white dial to compliment it and therefore leaning towards white. I'm pretty sure the hands on the 15400 are silver against white and not black against white, which is even more problematic.

I agree on 15300 as it's much more white. 15400 shows more silver in real life than pictures illustrate.

If u want contrast, the black or blue dial 15400 is the way to go. However, having said that, i had no issues reading the time on my white dial 15450.

The black dial 15400 is as interesting as the white, but more subtle. Photos rarely do it justice.

As I said on the Daytona thread, I generally like black on steel and white on gold.

I don't recall having any contrast or readability issues when I owned my 15400 silver dial, even easily reading the time under direct sunlight. However, I will agree that the black offers more contrast. It's down to personal preference really.

There is absolutely no contrast issue for me. The silvery white dial is awesome. I've seen the black dial on this watch and just didn't do it for me. Same with the blue.

No contrast issues at all. The silver has a shimmer that has to be seen in real life. It just "pops" more compared to the black.

No looses here, just pick your preference both easy to read and they change colour in various light.
