Any Bowlers?

Just wondering if it's safe to candle pin bowl with your Rolex on? (OK, I'm kidding but it was a fun evening anyway).

It's safe...as long as it's on the opposite arm.

Love, love, love candlepin bowling, it's a NE tradition that too few appreciate, much funner than 10 pin and something most kids grew up playing if you lived in New England.

Have always wanted to try candlepin bowling.... if only there were a place in the LA area. Guess I'll have to get up to NE again one of these days and search out a center.

I bowl regularly. I just finished the Fall season in which I bowled as a regular in two leagues and a sub in two others. I also take a lesson most Fridays. I bowl casually with friends once or twice a week.

My book average currently is 183, which is the highest average held in all my leagues. When I started lessons in September 2011, I had a 130 average. My highest sanctioned game and series so far is 279 and 672, respectively.

The season's taken a huge toll on my body, so no bowling for the next two weeks when the Summer season starts.

I got a call today from the bowling alley asking if I'd sub tonight and even though I am exhausted, I agreed. About an hour later, the bowler who needed a sub called and said his other gig was cancelled, so I was off the hook.
