16750 may have to go.
The 16750 I bought from Stratton (Steve) may have to get sold. I don't use it as much as I should, for some reason (rightly or wrongly) I am a bit too sensitive with it, and the LV is residing on my arm much more often.
This is combined with the fact that my girlfriend just got got accepted for the postgrad uni course she's been desperate to get into, which is awesome news, but fees are £6,750 a year, for two years!!! Having already been at uni for 4 years now she's not exactly brimming over with cash, so I think I will be helping out! I absolutely love the watch, but just dont think I get the wear out of it to make holding onto it justifiable. Hmmm. Very tough choice...  May have to rob a bank... |

If it was some pansy course I would be less inclined to, but its theraputic radiography - which I understand is treating cancer patients with x-rays to help their recovery. Obviously a very worthwhile profession, and something that really will help a lot of people. So kind of giving to charity??

that's a real beauty you have there,it's so nice you don't want to damage it.when you get a few in your collection,they don't get much wrist time.you start to wonder if you really need more that a couple.i don't envy your particular circumstance you have at the moment.tough choice indeed.

Thanks guys. I do absolutely love the watch, its just a catch 22 situation in that I know how gutted I would be if I messed it up, so I wear it less, which almost makes it not worth having!! For some reason it would just seem so much worse doing it to a 25yr old vintage unit than a brand new Sub LV!?!?!

The tough bit about it is I am sure I will miss it tons once its gone and Im not confident of finding such a tidy example again in the future...

Hi Cliff, I know it's never easy trying to decide whether to sell a watch or not - at least if you do decide to sell you'll be helping out your better half!

What to do...
It seems like everytime I buy a watch 3 pop up that are a better deal. Alot of Gmts are out and about. If you keep an eye out you should have no trouble finding another; Jim

You could always try and sell it on here. If a forum member buys it you know it's going to go to a good home and you might make somebody's day. You never know, there is always the chance they could sell it back to you when circumstances change. Now...you may be robbing a bank but you'll have to get there before me...there may be a 16750 up for sale soon!!!!! J |

Cheers guys, yes, it was a quick purchase after the LV. I think its great and am sitting here looking at it thinking "Its so nice, I can't sell it!!!" but it should be getting more use than it currently is. Hmmm...

Okay I got a plan for you now.....I was thinking and this is what I came up with.
Plan A: Rob the bank, but LEAVE the watch as sort of a "I'm a nice bank robber and this is like a bank robbery / trade deal" . Sort of bank robbery collateral  Plan B: Just do what your heart tells you and sell it to help your girl since you can always get more watches and they print more money every day. Plus you do not have to get yourself into a situation that might be quite hairy and find yourself being someone named Bubba's girl behind bars !  HEHEHE Happy Memorial Day!
