Does it ever stop?
I will be buying my second Rolex tomorrow from DaveSW. I am as excited as a kid on Christmas.
I sold my 14 ND a few days ago to a Pawn shop no less (for $5500) in favor of a new 11660LN. I was surprised they went for that much. But all they have are old SUBs without any paperwork or boxes for $6000. Buying other higher end brand watches just does not bring the same emotional gratification as a Rolex. So Does the "incoming glow" ever stop? I was going to buy a BLNR but I really wanted the "definition" of Rolexes. Having had the ceramic ND with the glidelock clasp, I would not settle for anything less. This on I will keep and maybe get the BLNR to add. When does it stop? When does buying a Rolex become a ho hum event? I was at my only and local AD today but they were not discounting at all and the place was no better than a REEDS in the Mall. They did not make me WANT to purchase from them. But they did give me a large Rolex Magazine...... It's tough to get one from an AD when I can save $1500 for the same exact watch with my name on the Warranty Card... |

Yeah When I saw their old stock of two SUBs and a load of Datejusts, I thought they might be interested in making $1000 on a new model. I was right. The jewelery end of their business is not like the pawn side. They purchase at good prices. I would not take any less. I can trade it and get that much. I had everything with it..It was new last September. It still cost me $675 to wear a few months LOL.

So, are you saying that you sold an eight-month old 114060 to a pawn shop a few days ago to get a 116610LN and now you have another 114060 coming in from DavidSW?

The Pawn shop had two older Date Subs in rough shape. No boxes or papers and they wanted $6000 for them. Hard to believe they sell that stuff. They do have a large selection of dials as well. Don't know where they get those. |

Okay, so you sold a 114060 to pay for a 116610LN. I get it now.

Oh, well. It's all in the game, as they say. Life would be boring if everyone made the perfect choice every time. Live and learn.

I don't know how this woman got hired. There was no excitement about the product. No clear "advantages" for me to pay $1500 Premium to give the local AD the business. She gave me a Rolex book on Datejusts.....I'm looking at SUBS.
I am guessing they get buyers who do not know or care about saving $1500 for the same exact product, and just want to throw money around at real people. Makes them feel important I guess. I can buy the Breitling Hercules on DaveSW's site with the savings |

Tomorrow. Good thing I asked about the Cyclops. The American had a small cyclops so I Chose a BNIB Canadian with the 2.5X magnification. My AD had the smaller mag cyclops as well. I guess Rolex is going with this new size.

Congrats on the Sub. I had to own every single SS diver in the line up to be sure of the one that was perfect for me. Don't regret that you started out with the ND, that's how you came to know what you truly wanted.
