Solix watch question

Hello all, I recently found and purchased for $3 a neat old watch at an estate sale. It was in a box of about 50 watches, and this one just jumped out a bit different than the timex/seikos, etc...

I did not know if it would run, I just thought it was a neat looking watch. I cleaned it up (was filthy) and wound it, and...it works! (about 1 minute fast a day)

Anyhow, I am just curious about this watch, from what I have been learning on TRF, I would guess it is from the 1930's or 1940's. It has a pretty cool date function (complication) that works also.

After a fairly decent Google search, I have not found any others like it, nor who might have made it, but this brand (I think) was associated with Selza Watch Co. SA. On the back of the case it say Fond Acier Inoxydable (Stainless steel back) and the number 11358.

If anyone might know something about Solix or this watch I would love to learn more about it please.

I love taking old things that have been neglected and put them back in serviceable order for use!

Very best,
Griswald

I have a similar watch, only mine has Arabic numbers rather than Roman numerals and my case is in need of repair(lots of dings and scratches). Have you had any luck on the Brand's history? I too am very curious...where was it sold, price point, who manufactured the movement...
