London Get Together

Padi and I are putting together a London get together at lunch on Monday, 20 Feb. Is anyone else available to join us? So far it's Padi, me and my wife, Arleen.

The more the merrier would be great. Unfortunately, Shane (Southern Jessie) has crapped out on us - something about some meeting he has - I don't know where his priorities got so screwed up , but anyone else is more than welcome to join in the fun.

I would have loved to but due to some American arriving in the UK too late, I can't.

Hope to see you at Heathrow if we can manage it.

I'll try to make it more convenient for you next year. In the meantime, I'm planning on us meeting at Heathrow. I won't have a working phone with me, so we'll have to do it the old fashioned way - by luck.

Ed, just make sure to do your share of the cleaning of Adrian's place here in Saudi. I've mopped the floors so make sure the kitchen is tidy... We can't abuse Adrian's hospitality too much.

Don't worry. I'll get rid of all the empty liquor and beer bottles before we leave. I''' even clean the couple of glasses we used. Although, I don't know what we can do about the dishes you broke.

We'll leave them. But don't forget the meteorite dialed Daytona I got you on Brenda's card. I think it's on top of Adrian's dresser.

Thanks, I was wondering where I left it. I'll be sure to pick it up on my way out the door.

Well it's right next to my rolesium YachtMaster. We got a good deal with the two purchases on the one card. I'm sure Brenda can use the air miles too.

See, everyone wins in this scenario!

Ed, Arleen and Padi. I can't say at present as my wife, Veronica, is in hospital at the moment following an op yesterday (seemingly successful... fingers crossed!) and I am just about to take a "holiday" to test my "chief cook and bottlewasher" skills to the limit (and beyond, no doubt!) until about the time you're talking about. (Veronica is on the mainland (North Island, we call it!) and I'm on the Island, so - while she's in hospital - its about a 4 hour freezing and stressful commute per day to be with her

I will be in central London on 15/16th for a long standing arrangement, but otherwise I'm playing it by ear for the next couple of weeks or so...

Let's stay in touch... you never know... and it would be great to meet up.

Nick, it would be great if you could possibly arrange your schedule to meet up with us. We can be flexible right up until lunch time on 20th Feb. Just keep us posted.

Not that dresser, you twit. The one where you keep your shirts.

Hi Nick,

Sorry to hear about Vernoica's operation. Please wish her a speedy recovery from all of us here and do give her my very best. Take care, pal, and please do keep us updated on her progress.

Thanks - JJ

Thanks

Thanks for the good wishes for Veronica. She's now home and starting the road to proper recovery.

I've found the kitchen and utility rooms (and thankfully there's some useful machines therein!) and the rumour is that there are other labour saving things in the house as well.... ah yes - some people call them "children"

Oh well, I'd better zoom off and start boiling kettles.... for tea, of course!

Cheers all.
