Pam 242
The 242.Interesting watch.Part of Panerais normal range in 2006.With a number of 300 produced.Features a Jaeger le-Coultre movement. After 2006 JLC would not provide the movements to Panerai. The lack of watchmakers the most likely cause for this.Worldwide, this is a problem. So,the 300 made in 2006,are the only ones in existance. That makes the 242 a rare bird, indeed.I was lucky to find one at the AD,in 2008.Brand new.
45mm Radiomir casing,,with double crown makes it destictive. The GMT ring, that rotates on the inside, also quite unique.Comes standard on a deployant clasp with a lovely Honey Gator strap.I would have prefered a tang buckle.Amazing depth to the dial, with a slightly concave crystal, with a beautiful small cyclops thats on the inside of the crystal. This is one of the favourites in my collection .... |
