An experiment in colour

I love my GMT-IIc with it's ceramic bezel.

Anyway, I started wondering what it might look like if Rolex added a dash of colour like the GMT-II.

I understand that Rolex might be having some "technical" difficulties adding colour to the ceramic, but if they managed to solve the problems...

original:

green:

red and black:

and the classic:

I agree! If only Rolex could work out how to bond the two colours in a ceramic bezel. I'm sure many would buy a Pepsi ceramic, even if they had to inlay a metal divider between the red and blue.

That is without a doubt the best mock-up of a TT bezel in the new ceramic GMT IIc that I've ever seen. Outstanding work!

I just changed the hues in Photoshop. If you look at the original, the writing on the dial is slightly raised. The writing catches the light when you change the angle of the watch.

Glad you like the mock ups. I'm not a big fan of the GMT pepsi, but even I've got to admit the ceramic looks great in red and blue.

Since the pepsi seems the most popular. Here's another mock up using an 'offical' Rolex picture:

Hi,

Fantastic pics

Thankyou for making me look like a complete nutter.
I already have a SS ceramic Sub on order from my AD so I suppose ordering another piece that does not exist will not help my cause.

Regards Mike.

That ceramic Pepsi looks wicked. I'd certainly consider buying that as opposed to the all black ceramic. I hope Rolex do it...........

Cheers

Is that a fault I see with the bracelet on the 12 o'clock side. It looks like something is sticking out from the bracelet.
