First Post...First Rolex
I have been lurking in these forums for quite some time and thought it would be appropriate to make my first post of the "Just bought my first Rolex" variety.
Since 2004, I have been shopping off and on for a new green bezel Submariner from local ADs, but to no avail. Last Friday, while eating lunch across the street from a AD, I decided to take a detour and my luck took a turn to 'green' side. I am more than pleased with the watch; while not as flashy as some, this watch makes me smile every time I glance down at it. I do have one question - my watch came with all the usual boxes and paperwork, but only a small cream-colored polishing cloth. In other pictures on this forum, I see some watches with both the cream-colored cloth and a larger off-white cloth with the Rolex logo. Should my watch have come with the larger cloth as well? Thanks for any input. I apologize for the image quality, my DSLR is in for a sensor cleaning, so I had to use a point and shoot. |

And changing one letter is supposed to make everything better? Did you not make the conceptual leap and realise that taking out the whole word would have been more appropriate?
I suggest that you go away and have a good think about what constitutes good behaviour on a forum, and also about how civilised people behave. This is your second strike, so don't come back till you've worked it out.

Welcome to TRF and what a GREAT watch you have.
I am a little biased. I purchased my LV 2 weeks ago and Jared's had just gotten it in. It was still in the vault. I was the first customer to see it and there was only the single cream colored cloth in the box. Congrats! |

Only the small cream cloth comes with new watches. You're not missing anything.

This is my first real watch; pretty much Fossil up to this point for me. I really liked the 42mm Omega Planet Ocean (black bezel with orange numbering), but I just could not pull the trigger on it. Every time I was close to purchasing one, images of the Kermit kept flashing through my mind, so I resolved to wait it out. Thanks for all the welcome messages, I look forward to learning more from all who post here. |

I just bought my SS DJ a month ago and I didn't get the large cloth, I called the AD and they said no you don't get one, go figure I had sent my older SS DJ to be serviced, it came back with one, i don't get it

Welcome to TRF and Congrats on your LV. The cream polishing cloth is good enough. My Rolex purchases didn't come with either but the RSC was kind enough to give me one along with a travelling case when I sent in my Rolex for regulation.

Thanks so much for all the welcome messages.
To answer a few questions: I am in the Saint Petersburg, FL area For a second Rolex, the Yacht Master and GMT have always caught my eye, but I am happy to report that the LV has been my favorite in the lineup for quite some time. The other watch I really like is the 42mm Omega Planet Ocean (black bezel with orange numbering). Every time I went to pull the trigger on that watch, images of the Kermit kept flashing through my mind, so I resolved to wait it out. I am glad I did. |

Welcome and congrats on the LV. The 16610LV is my favorite contemporary diver.
Just love the maxi-dial and the green insert gives the watch a nice flair. Very well done. |
