Watches given up for Rolex

Some of the watches I sold on eBay to get my first Rolex. Don't get me wrong, they were great watches, but it was time to move on.

I will admit I've sold quite a few watches over time. Only one I regret is a Tudor sub which I sold to fund my SeaDweller. I think at the time I got $900 for it and was happy! This was about 12 years ago.

To make it relevant to this post, I've sold off sinn, kobold, Tutima, Oris , omega, Seiko, glycine (2x airman 2000 and incursore), iwc, Tudor, heuer that I can recall.

Sorry that picture is upside down. Must have been from the home run derby drinks which is happening just a few miles away.

My last 3 watches I have sold have all been for more than I paid for them. It is not the most dangerous hobby, as long as you can afford what you ahave and have pieces that can be sold it is a safe area.

Thanks.

Man I miss some of those. But I hate to say it, but none of them give me the same feeling as when I'm wearing my Rolex.

I did a count the other night have sold 10 watches in the last 4 years, currently holding 5. Of the 10 most came in that period of time as well. The only older one had been my TAG Chrono which I bought around 11 years ago before I got into watches big time.
