Patek 5119 vs Lange 1

Hi all

Deciding between these 2 as my only gold watch in my collection. I know they are not similar but this what I am choosing between. The Lange 1815 didn't really do it for me.

Which do you like better and why?

My opinion so far is the Patek as I love everything about it. The Lange seems to provide a lot more though but am worried about its future commercial value/brand value which I have to consider when spending this much.

Cheers
Anuj

You couldn't have chosen two more different watches... The Lange is on a different level, obviously.

Patek is the dress watch

The ALS is something else.

Given a choice and I would choose Lange.
It is so much better than the plain PATEK.
Despite the fact that PATEK swear by their watches go thru rigorous test and forever serviceable criteria.

Lange all day. Lange 1 is modern and unique, the Calatrava is just another dress watch, its nice and all although the movement doesn't fit the case by a long shot.

Love mine, but I do like that dress Patek, the Lange has a lot more going on, ideally see if you can pick it up second hand I did.

Big difference in thickness and weight as well. Understand pricing similarity may be there.

A Lange Sohne because of unmistakable design and the way they set the dials in. Not to mention, it's great quality none the less than that of Patek Philippe

Lange. Much more versatile watch to wear than the 5119 IMHO.

That Lange is soooo nice!

I'm also not a fan of that "fluted" bezel on the Patek.

The Lange. Both watches are icons, but the Lange is really something special.

If you want a pure dress watch - then patek. Otherwise I would choose the Lange 1

Amazing! That's my vote unless you want a straight up dress watch. The PP looks dressier, IMO.

Visually, you can see the sublime quality of a Lange from a mile. But for a PP, you need to get closer....

As I told you the small secondhand at the PP looks wrong IMHO and the Lange 1 is awesome.

My grail at the moment is the first automatic Lange1 Daymatic in Platin, I love the new place of the date window.

The backside.

This is porn.
