Talking Watches

Here is a link to the newest talking watches with the NBA Finals MVP Andre Iguodala and it is AP heavy. Personally not the best Talking watches however still entertaining

Didn't have much with him but I still enjoyed the insight into his collecting habits. Seems very down to earth and likable.

Hey Andre, get those stickers off your skydweller

I don't think I'll be as interesting as anyone on any talking watches at any given time 😂

Agree w comments that he seems like a nice guy. But from a looking at watches standpoint, this episode was among the worst IMO

I totally agree but maybe Ben was put in an awkward position and Andre just didn't show up with much so he had to work with the pieces that he brought. I remember reading this on Hodinkee when Ben showed up to JC Biver's house to film an episode: "I am standing in Mr. Biver's dining room outside Montreux, Switzerland. We are there to shoot an episode of "Talking Watches" and he says, "Oh! I forgot you were coming. I didn't go to the bank so we will have to work with what I have here." That's fine, but not hearing anything about his collection ahead of time had me worried – was he really a collector or just another industry exec telling a journalist what he wanted to hear? And then he dropped this tray on the table." That was an amazing episode. Would love to see a follow up of what is in the bank vault

While the number of watches was lacking I really enjoyed the interview. Pretty cool to see how a recent world champion and finals MVP feels about our hobby. It's also cool to see that he actually paid for them and appreciated such a large purchase.

I had the pleasure of meeting Andre a couple times at UofA when the basketball team had the weight room before us. You could tell he was very hard working with a passion for the game. Really glad to see the success Andre, Steve Kerr and Luke Walton (all AZ alum) had this year with Golden State.

Egads! It hurts to see that 15300 scratched up like that. This helps though.

Als up down in platinum I've been eyeing it for more than a year But instead I got 2 watches with that money 5712 and 5164 and my second grail is the FPJ centigraphe in platinum which probably would come after the ALS. I am also a huge fan of Richard Mille but it's the most stereotypical Arab watch I can get in Dubai after Rolex 😂 so I'll wait it out for now and think about my 2 grails. My collection now is 5712,5164,Big Bang UAE edition LE 40/100, no date subc, 15300,JLC geophysic and AP 44mm FC
