Can I pull off 44mm ROO (6.5" wrist)
Ladies and Gents... I apologize for the pic overload but need your honest opinions. Have owned bigger watches Panerai and Bell and Ross (44-45mm) in my younger years early 20s and now in my mid 30s my tastes have changed to smaller watches and have just Rolexes and Pateks (38.5-41mm). Have always wanted an AP but did not like the fit of the lugs of the Classic Royal Oak design on my small wrists so always seemed to pass. I love the look of The AP 44mm ROOs but just wonder if it is too darn big for my wrist. Our AP expert Paul has told me repetitively if you change to a short strap on the 44mm ROO the watch will fit great on a smaller wrist. Here are some pics I took of me trying on the 44mm Ceramic ROO at Bal Harbour. And the last pics are of a Sales Associates FC ROO with a short strap he let me try on and it does make a difference. For whatever reason the FC ROO looks bigger on me. If I can pull off the size would be deciding between the 44mm Ceramic or 44mm RG. Thanks in advance for your comments and opinions.

As far as I'm concerned, it looks just fine on you but the more important question is, how does it feel to you on your wrist? If you feel good with it, that's it. Go for it.

Not for me – it has a fair bit of overhang from the lugs and dominates your wrist too much.
The ROO Diver might be okay, as it'll be less bulky in width and height. But if you think it looks the bees knees to your eyes, then that's really all that matters. Of course, if you listen to that bunch of rabble rousers above, they'll convince you that a wall clock would look fine, if it means getting another incoming thread and pictures posted. So listen to them at your own peril! |

Came in expecting to say no, as I also have around 6.5" wrists, slightly smaller actually, and those watch sizes never work for me.
But in all honestly, that looks freaking amazing on your wrists! Can you take a picture from farther away with more of your arm showing? And a side profile pic. It will help better to judge how it looks altogether. I find that wrist and part of the arm pics can sometimes not give the full picture. From what I see however, it really looks incredible! |

You said that you wanted to wear "smaller" watches. Something that I have transitioned to as well. On my 7.5" wrist, I can easily wear the 44MM ROO but chose not to (and this is after owning the SS version for a while).
The 44MM ROO looks like it fits your wrist but it sure takes up a lot of real estate and looks quite big. Not too big, just big. I wear a 42MM ROO black/red for my sports AP and think that is plenty of wrist presence. Notice how the lug of my 42MM does not hang / extend beyond my wrist? |

Honestly looks great but for me (I also have a 6.5" wrist) the 41mm royal oak chrono and the 42mm offshore get 95% of the wrist time. My 44 is a once a month kind of watch due to its size.
However some prefer to enjoy the larger size and greater wrist presence. |

Curious to see how they all look on us guys with smaller wrists. Personally can't even wear a 39MM Bevause of a large fit. |

Even if your wrist was a bit larger, the 44's will have a lot of wrist presence, especially the RG. The ceramic won't look as large. |

You can most definitely pull it off. If you're comfortable with the fit then go for it. Ceramic diver would be a better fit, but that entails limited color scheme that not everyone favors.

I also think it looks great. You just have to decide if you're cool with the fact that it is larger and more prominent than what you're used to wearing. I personally love having a mix of sizes - 47mm PAM, 44mm AP on down to 40 and 39 thinner pieces. Variety is good, and I have found the 44 ROO to be a perfect complement to my other watches.

I think wrist shot pictures always make the watches look bigger than they really are. The bottom line is that if you like it, go for it. I know there's at least a little hesitation (which explains the post), but a sporty watch can still be on the bigger side and you're still pretty young. If you eventually gravitate towards smaller watches (which I'd expect), you shouldn't have any trouble selling it down the road. The ceramic bezel should still look perfect.
I'm 46 and think the 44mm ROOs are simply too big for my 6.5" wrist. I think the 42mm ones are pushing it a little (they seem to have the same lug-to-lug distance of about 55mm but the 42mm ROOs are narrower 3:00-9:00). So right now I have a 39mm ROC and I'm very happy with it. But I'm still tempted by the ROOs and Divers. You could consider a pre-owned City of Sails which has an offshore look with the numerals and rubber strap, but obviously doesn't have the ceramic bezel. |

I think it looks great on you man. I can't remember if you have any watches that are not white gold and steel, but if you don't the RG would be awesome!
