never got why some got the black or white 15300/15400 when there's blue, so much nicer IMO

Personal preference brother.
Or maybe to diversify.
Friend of mine that has a blue PP 5711 got a white 15400. Makes more sense to me as well.

To each his own.

I liked the black over the blue. To me, it is a little more versatile, traditional, and made a really good contrast against the WG indexes.

I also have flipped every watch I have had with a colored dial (green and blue) in under 4 months - so I've noticed I'm ready to get rid of it once the novelty wears off.

There is also the price consideration for the 15400. You can get a MUCH better discount on a black than blue.

For the 15300, it didn't do it for me. I don't like the white date wheel, the bezel to dial ratio, no marker at the 3 o'clock, the "AP" at the 12 o'clock, and the fat end of the second hand.

All of this made the black one the PERFECT daily watch for me!

I have to admit I love anything blue, clothes and of course watches, IMO it gives them a little touch of originality but not enough to get you bored after some time, of course like always question of tastes, I just see the same model in blue, black or white and I find the blue 2 times nicer
