Rolex Service Sydney, Australia
Anyone had any recent experience with Rolex service in Sydney, Australia? What's the standard service cost these days? My GMT Master II is just about ready for a service and I am wondering whether to take it to Rolex or a quality generic watchmaker. Appreciate any advice.

These guys may be worth exploring
http://www.maxswisswatch.com They swapped out the dial on my Daytona and seemed very busy and knew what they were doing |

I recently had some warranty work done on my GMT II (sticking date change) and they were fine. Did the work in the time frame they quoted, emailed when it was ready and fixed the problem.
What I expected of an RSC!

Hi Scoobs What's the advantage of servicing at a non auth rsc? I serviced mine at Rolex Pitt St/Martin Pl Sydney before - and was pretty quick. May be because it was a warranty job?? |

Recently, I had both my parents' Rolexes serviced at Raymond Watches. I've also had several watches serviced there in the and all came back as good as new. He's not overly expensive but it will take about 2-3 weeks for a proper service. He's located at 76-82 Castlereagh Street St James Arcade Sydney. Good luck :)

I was happy with RSC (Australia Square) on my Tudor Chrono, they quoted 3 months and delivered in 2 months, these always seem to long. The quality was excellent, but it comes at a cost around $1,000, so you just need to make the call, I am sure others will do a good job, the RSC card is valuable if you ever want to move it on (advisable if you are a flipper I think), also provides authenticity that everything in the watch is as it should be.

Both of my Rolexes are less than 2 years old. I will probably take them to rsc when the time comes. But that is a while off thank goodness |

Yeh... I'd probably do the same. Dont think i'd be too comfortable servicing them at non rsc. Or may be because i'm just a watch newbie though.. 😁 |

Max was an authorised Rolex service centre. Was for over 20 years.
Then, when the new YMII and Sky Dweller came out, he was dumped by Rolex as a service agent. Apparently you have to be in Switzerland to be able to repair these - the mountain air is important. He can definitely work on any Rolex. He's a Patek service agent. |

I had two watches serviced by the RSC Australia Square last year.
I was very happy with the service, and the level of communication with Louella (who organises things) was outstanding. Cost was DJ = $750. & 14060 = $1000. (new bezel insert) about 10 weeks for each. DJ required a subsequent adjustment which was done quickly.
