Two classics: Frye harness boots & tt sub
Well, it's a TT Sub and Fryes Harness Strap Boot Weekend for me. And, the Rolex Submariner and the Fryes Harness Strap Boots are two long standing paragons of style that are so iconic in form, function, features and personality, to boot! (No pun intended). The branding and conscious awareness of the style and design of these two amazing and well constructed products have become historically iconic, and rather well ingrained within the public's cultural eye for numerous generations. Now, here are just a few photos of appreciation for these two classic icons of style. And, by the by, paired along with your Rolex, please do tell us what YOUR two favorite iconic classic products of style are, and then share your photos here.

Thank you, Luvsub! The Fryes Harness Strap Boots are absolutely comfortable. The Frye company originated in 1863, and had provided boots for our soldiers during the Civil War, and for many appreciative generations since then. And, like the TT Submariner, these Harness Strap Boots are well admired and quite the conversation starter in any public setting.

Rich, thank you for the kudos, my friend. And, by the by, I LOVE your Red C6 Vette. Now, that is a classic and sharp combination right there, present and accounted for: A beautiful Vette coupled with a favorite Rolex!

To Danny and Tom: Danny, every time I see your Avatar, well, it just makes me smile. And, I am so glad that you visited my thread, my friend. And, Tom: Hey, Buddy! I just keep admiring your gorgeous Platona, my friend. Tom, you have always posted such amazing photos of your entire collection, which, in my humble opinion, is an exemplary stable of the finest timepieces that any TRF aficionado would ever drool over and envy!

Used to wear them while in college; they have gone up a bit in price. I should look at getting a pair or two (actually might have some in the closet).

Chadri, those boots are totally awesome, my friend! And, with the wingtips and detailed broguing crafted into its iconic styling cues, your Frye's Lace-up Wingtip Boots are a favorite classic. And, coupled with your stunning Hulk Sub, you truly have a winning combination!

Lee, thank you for allowing me to take a walk down memory lane, my friend. And, I certainly did the same thing: Wearing my favorite Fryes Boots in College. What an innocent time of studying long into the night, and of hopes, dreams and multiple choices to ponder upon, whilst paving a new road in life for the future.

I have no clue why I opened this thread but I am so glad I did. I have always wanted a pair of these boots but had no idea who makes 'the original and the best' or where to get them. I've seen plenty of them but never felt comfortable enough to stop someone and say "Dude, nice boots, where'd you get them?"
Now I know what to ask Mrs Van Driver to get me for Christmas Thanks for posting and excellent pics

Very nice, Blue. Love the pairings of boots and the amazing 116613 LB.
For me, it would have to be my Allen Edmonds shoes and Rolex watches. Don't have any pictures of them together, but will soon take some as I am inspired by your thread.

And, to my buddy Eric: Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm, product and Rolex model knowledge. Your extensive familiarity with the brand, and your impressive collection of some of the best that Rolex has to offer is, indeed, to be envied, as well as, immensely appreciated. Thank you for the very helpful and real world feedback regarding the differing Rolex models. |

Last year Dayton (I am Canadian) made these to match my TT Sub. Normally I always have a TT Sub so it made sense. |
