Advice on first Rolex purchase! NYC/BOS

I am planning on my first Rolex purchase as I have just passed a major milestone in my life.
The model that I want to purchase is the Explorer model. And I just wanted to get some advices.

1. So the US MSRP for Explorer is $6400 (I asked an AD in New York and Boston) but the MSRP for Explorer in Canada is CA$7500 (with the current exchange rate, I will be able to purchase it for US$5700. Do you think I can get any ADs in NY/NJ or Boston to make a significant discount to match the Canadian price?

2. Do Canadian ADs actually give you a discount upto 30%? If so, it will be significantly cheaper to buy a Rolex in Canada even if I pay their taxes. Can anyone who recently purchased from Montreal/Toronto AD give me their advice?
