Deepsea seadweller fits
I initially felt this watch was way too big but after wearing it for a week it feels well and now my sub feels small? Anyone has the same experience?

I don't have one but am curious. What is your wrist size? (I'm told the watch is huge but it may fit me. I inherited a 36 mm DD and have had to add 4 links. It just looks too small and I really like the look of the DSSD.)

I bought my deep-sea in 2013 from an AD. I originally went there to purchase a sub. But after looking at both watches side-by-side I decided the sub was too small. As a matter of fact, after trying on the deep-sea, the sub look like a ladies watch. For me, the DSSD is the right size. I have since purchased many more Rolex watches but my deep-sea is my watch for everyday.

Yeah all contributors to this thread with real DSSD experience would really help others by sharing their wrist size.

I have a 7.25" wrist and have had two DSSDs. I find the DSSD wears easier than you think as the bracelet is so good and I think it's the ultimate Rolex diver because of all its features. However, I've reverted back to the old faithful Sea Dweller and I'm finding it much more comfortable as a 24 hour daily wearer. I think it's the depth of the DSSD rather than the diameter that makes it seem a touch cumbersome and prone to knocks. Also, for sport it's a little heavy for me. Having said all that I'll probably acquire anther one in the not too distant future!

I'm a big guy with a 7.5 inch wrist. I've worn large watches (44+) for years. Wore the DeepSea for three years and it just never felt right. Too top heavy, IMO. I finally sold it.

My wrists are 7.5", I've got 43mm (DSSD), 42mm (ExpII Polar) and 40mm (SubC, BLNR, Daytona), so pretty much a good part of the size range.
I switch back and forth all the time with no problems or feelings of one being too big or too small. They are just different sizes, and that's all. I find all comfortable and figure they look good on my wrist. I'd probably say the 40mm are the MOST comfortable and balanced, but the DSSD is certainly an every-day watch for me too, and the one I find I take most often on vacations, etc. There's no denying it's a bit more top-heavy, but not extreme (I have other bigger, heavier watches) and the Glidelock is brilliant and allows me to keep the perfect fit throughout the day. I never get tired of staring at the gorgeous curved crystal and bezel. It feels like a very special watch, and is built like a tank, but to me does not wear like one. I have large-ish forearms, but do not feel that the 40mm look small on me at all... they look nothing but pure awesome!! Hope that helps! Cheers Ross |

Yeas the Deepsea is large and heavy, but still wearable. Makes perfect sense as part of any collection, as most of us rotate at different interval, don't think that is a problem.. I sometime miss my 46mm navitimer world.

This is mine on a Rubber B right now. My wrist size is 6.5 and I wore it on a bracelet for a week before switching out to rubber and it's been on the Rubber B ever since.
I sold my SubC for this after wearing it daily for a year and a half. To be honest the SubC probably wore better but I've always liked big watches and this works well once you get used to it, which doesn't take long. I've yet to knock it due to its size, unlike what a few others have said. You just have to be a little more aware of your surroundings I guess. Remember there's $12,300 sitting on your left wrist - that's how I remind myself. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My DSSD and D-Blue turned my other watches into safe queens - 8.5" wrist.

The beauty of the Rolex watch-and especially their larger watches-is that when sized correctly, they fit and wear great. That's one major attraction to the brand for me.
Glad to hear you're enjoying the DSSD...I too have smaller wrists and have always held back due not so much the size, but the height of the watch. |

It's all relative. If you wear the DSSD for 2 weeks it fits. If you wear a Sub for 2 weeks it fits. If you wear an OP 36mm for 2 weeks, it fits. It's all about the fabulous human ability to adapt.
