1 extra year warranty when purchasing using your credit card

Like everyone else, I try to use a credit card to purchase anything. Points/cash back, piece of mind and of course extended warranty protection. Depending on your AMEX (I'm sure other brands offer this as well) you'll receive one extra year added to the original manufacturer’s warranty. Of course, you'll receive a better price by paying in cash, so I guess I'm wondering what price you guys value an extra year? Send off your watch for the water resistance test and that's another. Thoughts?

I can't even begin to explain how helpful this benefit of my credit card has been in the past. With computers alone it's saved me thousands.
