Went on ebay, looked for "clasp extender" bought two @ 12mm et voila!

Total cost: £7.00 including

Fit is now perfect.

Very happy with the result!

Now that's a great solution. Maybe shake those pieces in a bag filled with nuts and nails to match the patina on the rest of the bracelet?
