Ad is offering to me at 10800 brand new box papers my name on warranty card, etc... What to do...

Is it a good buy? Long term what are the possibilitys of thinking of it as an investment...

Thoughts are appriciated

Yes I feel that way too... Unfort at the moment I have to finance but interest free for 12 months...

I just don't want Rolex to raise prices, which I'm sure will happen sooner than later

AD's normally don't offer any discount on the Daytona so it's a good price for buying at an AD.

As an investment, it's most likely horrible.

You are being offered a good price, and shouldn't lose much if you decide to flip it.

But didn't you post a thread not too long ago about how you can't wait until you can afford an AP?

At almost $11k, you are getting close to being able to get a 15400 BNIB if you can find a good discount. $11k and some change will get you a used one from a Trusted Seller.

True that's what I was going to say... I don't think I could comfortably wear the ap all the time as I would be in fear of damaging it... I will get it eventually..

The Daytona seems like a good deal, but I've had 2 and flipped and also had an exp1... Exp is the best wear and tear watch...

I'd guess we are still years away from that (if ever). We haven't even had a YG or WG ceramic one yet.

That is e very good price for a Daytona. Specially at an AD. As an investment, there is no yield there. At most, if you decide to part with it, you won't take a big hit.

You aren't giving the RO enough credit. It's tougher than you think. I wore a Daytona almost exclusively for 18 months, and I have worn a RO now daily for almost a month and a half. I think the PCLs on the Daytona show scratches more than the RO does.

The RO just hurts more because a scratch can be seen going against the grain, and the cost of the piece. But not wanting one because you are afraid of it getting damaged is like not dating a supermodel because you are afraid of other guys hitting on her.

Don't finance your rolex - it's a luxury item. Nobody knows what will happen to prices in the future, buy what you can afford and invest in real estate.

Do NOT rely on the Daytona as an investment. There are many in the market.

If you like the watch, buy it as it is rarely discounted from an AD. Wear & Enjoy, do not worry about reselling it.

OP, looks like you've been confronted with this dilemma before per your prior threads. Given that you've flipped the ss Daytona twice, it doesn't sound like its for you.

Um yeah that is a great pirce. Year old ones sellig. For 10800 on here. New 11800. I'd jump in it. Watches are not investments for the most part. You will take a hit on a trade in maybe 9500 at best. You could sell for 10-10500 at best. Buy it to enjoy it not for an investment. It's a great deal for a watch to love and use.

Different parts of the world make one more desirable then the other - from my understanding the Asian market prefers the Black dial and North America prefers the white - i opted for the black myself
