Can't decide which Gold models to buy....

Hi guys, I'm looking to get my first full gold Rolex (be it white, yellow or rose gold)... And I stuck with these few models, namely the 116718LN Yellow gold GMT with Green dial, 116719BLRO White Gold Pepsi GMT, 116618LB Yellow gold blue dial Sub (preferably with 8 diamonds markers if so), 116619LB White gold Blue Sub (Smurf) or the new 116655 Rose gold YM... I'm leaning towards Yellow or Rose gold now since white gold might seems "too normal"... Any advice?

I'd say eliminate by metal. First off is WG vs yg/rg. Would you feel comfortable wearing a full yg/rg Rolex? Are you going to be wearing it everywhere? Or is it a weekend watch?

Personally I love the yg/rg models. But I would feel too self conscious wearing that daily & don't want to spend all that on a weekend watch. So WG for me.

Regardless of what you get, can't go wrong, they're all beautiful!

Go to an AD and try them on. Natural selection will take over. Post pics when you buy it!!!

You'll want all of them eventually so just prioritize what you want first.

only you can decide..choose a gold then narrow it.
I was faced with same decision a month ago. Any watch with an MSRP under $40k - I chose the Smurf

Easy for me as I only like white gold

WOW you are looking at the best of the best!! Most people know what metal they want. these watches are really different when you see and handle them in person so that is where I would start if you haven't

WG vs YG or RG is a big difference wrist presence wise. I would start with that decision first then try to narrow it down. I have or had solid WG YG and RG and they all have their own stunning and amazing charms so it IS hard to decide!!

Go to an AD. Put metal to wrist. Observe under different light. Then go away and think about it. Repeat as necessary.

Actually, I have kind of decided on the Yellow gold blue sub with diamonds marker. But my wife insist that the green dial GMT is nicer.... So I'm in a loss right now...

It's impossible to say. Every one has such different views. I personally love white gold. Especially the Sub and GMT. I would definitely not commit to anything until you have had the new RG YM on your wrist though. I bet it looks amazing in the flesh.

Good look with your decision. Looking forward to seeing which way you go!

Buy 'em all!

Just start with the one you love the most, no one else, and the blue Sub is a great choice!

Smurf/BLRO if you want to fly under the radar. Yellow or Rose if you want to make a loud statement.

I recommend you consider the Platona as well. The prices from the TrustedSellers are excellent!!

You are nog making this easy for yourself. YG RG WG they are all different in color and have their own looks. It also depends what kind of watches you already have, what kind of work it is that you do and how you are dressed. I love WG as a daily beater watch. I love YG too, buy not as a daily beater. YG and RG are a bit to flashy and as I see it not for every occasion. Good luck with your choice and let us see the pictures when you are ready

This is the choice that I made and it still makes me smile

Based on your comments and preference, I would choose either the YG GMT or the YG Sub. Not a huge fan of the new YM.

For me, I would take the GMT as I am not a fan of diamonds, but that is me. However, the sunburst blue dial on the Sub is a true work of art. The best looking dial on any Rolex, in my opinion.

I would go with the YG green dial GMT…what a nice combo! My YG watch of preference is a YG DD with green dial.

Frankly speaking, if I am going to spend the money for gold, I want it to "look like gold", so I am not a fan of WG. Not to say that I want to flaunt YG in people's faces, but SS and WG look the same to me. (I know, they feel different, or so owners say, but..... )

For me, YG and RG add color variety to watch collections. And not that I personally want my collection to be only YG watches either. I like a mixture of SS, YG, RG, and TT.
Your choice can also depend on which watches you have already too.

Out of your choices, I like the 116618LB. And if you want a little "flash", don't hold back. Go for the diamonds too. I like the sub look more than the GMT. The YM RG is also nice, but it is technically not full gold because it comes with rubber strap, as far as I can see.

Now, my own personal blingy preference is the 116688 YMII in YG. It is a no holding back, "go for the gold", so to speak watch.

Good luck deciding on that special one you really are happy to wear. Trying and deciding is half the fun or owning. You can't go wrong with any of them.

Nice problem to have! I personally like the way the YG blue Sub, no diamonds looks on your wrist. I know it's not a model you narrowed down to, so I'm no help... Sorry :(

Thanks for all the inputs, guys. Really appreciate it. I used to love white gold, cause of its look. But since I'm gonna spend a hugh amount of money on it, might as well make it loud ( YG/RG ).... Lol....

With that, it's really between the Blue Sub, Green GMT n the RG YM for now.. Right now, RG YM would be at retail price whereas the other 2 can still get quite a good discount off. Arrgh... Really giving me headaches now....

Oh I love the size of the YM II, but I would much preferred a simpler dial. N I will be paying much more for the movement.
