233 arrived

So the delivery day for my watch was either yesterday or today. It didn't arrive yesterday so i knew it would arrive today. I waited for a few hours then saw a card by the door which read "sorry we missed you, you can arrange to pick up your parcel or call for another delivery day".
The delivery man didn't press the bell and just knocked on the door which i didn't hear. Well i wasn't going to let my new watch sit in a depot till Monday. I called and the receptionist said my parcel would be back in the depot for back up by 17:30. I went to get the parcel.
This is my first Panerai and it is lovely. I am a Rolex fan boy and i always will be. DJII is next but this one adds a nice bit of variety to the collection and can have some fun with some straps.
Here are the pics. Purchased this from Kroon Watches, in Holland. Thanks Marco. He was helpful and polite all the way through and i would highly recommend the uk buyers who want a trusted seller to look his way.

Question:

I saw on panerai official site that there's a new 233 which uses a black croc strap and does not have the dome anymore.. Can anyone confirm this please?

It switched over to the Alligator strap but from what I can tell in the pics the dome crystal is still there.

Not sure it ever said "domed" sapphire anywhere in the specs

Exactly. No other change. The date / AM-PM looks a lot "creamier" in color than my 233N but I think that may just be the photo. I would find it hard to believe they would change the date dial unless it's to satisfy other models from the same line (i.e the 576, ...)
