The true classic Paneri PAM 233
I've been waiting to get this watch for quite sometime..
1950 case GMT, 8 day manual with date and sandwich dial. plus in house movement with display case back...awesome looking watch!!! definitely the most versatile panerai~IMO |

The more I look at the 233 the more I like the 12 and 6 only on the dial. The 9 makes it look to cluttered IMO.

I couldn't agree more, once I saw the 233 I was hooked, it had everyting I was looking for...don't forget about the domed crystal and the brushed steel case/polished bezel combo. My favorite Luminor for sure. |

Panerai's have up their production number big time this year..
104K went from 4000 to 6500. not too sure about 233 going up to 2000 from 1000 though.... |

Congrads. I got a 233 several months ago, and it has hardly left the wrist.
My personal opinion: Get a Kaktus Drifter Original Tan for the 233, looks great! I also have 24mm Zulus, in Grey and Desert Tan that I like on the 233 |

Mr. T, the logo is hidden underneath the bridge in the movement. Get a loupe or maginifying glass and you can see it!

My favorite Panny. Sold my Daylight chrono to get it.
Kaktus and Simona straps really set it off. Here's mine on a Kaktus Drifter in original, darker than I thought it would turn out but still nice. I have 3 of his straps to include one from a 1945 German map case: http://www.kaktus-straps.com/collection%20entry.htm |

I agree Big Hat, out of all the straps I own, the Kaktus Drifter is my favorite and looks best on the 233. (Rob Montana is my second favorite)

Congrats!
I really love that model, too! I know this sounds silly, but I just wish it had minute markers between the five indices. Somehow, I am put off a bit by having to guess whether it's 12 or 13 minutes past. If it had all minute markers, I'd buy it in an instant.

Well, as always it's a matter of personal taste and preference...
I love the "clean" dials but then again I am biased since I do like to know the exact minute the minute hand is pointing to. If only I could get convinced by the "minimalistic" design, I would get a PAM soon. BTW.: the crystal on the PAM 236 is out of this world!
