If I'd only had someone following us around with a camera day to day, I'd have LOTS to contribute here!
Lacking the photo, please try to visualize: The couple heading to her car in the Target parking lot. With one arm, she's pulling the cart loaded with stuff for a family of 5, with 23 pound baby and keys in the other arm, trying to keep her shoulder bag full of water bottles, diapers and snacks from slipping off. Two little kids are hanging on the waist of her jeans, one of them boinging like a pogo stick. Daddy is wandering along 10 feet behind them, checking his messages on his Palm Pilot... |

Oh - here's another one. Mom and dad taking their two kids swimming at his sister's house. Mom is 9 months pregnant. They pull up in the drive and kids are excited to get out and swim. Dad is sitting in car's front seat talking on his cell phone to a buddy about guitars. Mom unloads the two kids, then lifts up the back hatch and pulls out a huge bag of suits, pool toys, beach towels and clothes. Four year old is crying to be carried. So she holds 4 year old on one hip and huge bag with other arm, making her way to the front door where older kid is waiting. She struggles to pull screen door open and manages to prop it with the back of her leg as children run inside. Before she has a chance to let herself in, husband nonchalantly ambles past her and goes in....
As Dave Barry says, I am not making this up! |

Of the 600 things I love about you, being a good sport and having a great sense of humour rank right up there.
Never understood the statement that; a man works from sunup to sundown, but a woman's work is never done, until I rasied some kids all by myself a long time ago. |

Lisa, your posts concern me.
When do they ever stop crying to be carried??????? I'm waiting in line in a Walgreens the other day. My daughter, age 2, who has been half way down the aisle playing with stuff comes up and says "Carry... Carry.... I wanna be carried." As I pick her up I say nonchalantly "Yes, dear, we'd all love to be carried all the time." The guy in front of me about lost it, laughing his arse off. |
