I have a Tudor Prince Date Chronograph. It's a great watch. I bought it in the hope that it would satisfy my urge to buy a Zenith Daytona. It didn't:

My opinions on the Tudor, not that anybody asked: - Love the brushed lugs and center links on the bracelet, which I prefer over the Daytona. However, the bracelet is not as well mated to the case lugs as the Daytona. - Love/hate the dial. I like that it's basically the same as a vintage Daytona 6265 dial, but I'm actually not a fan of pandas. Purely subjective, but I think they look great in pictures off the wrist, but a bit cluttered on the wrist, viewed from afar. For example, I prefer the design of the Speedmaster Pro dial. The non-contrasting sub dials looks great both in pictures and on the wrist, and is probably the most legible chrono out there, IMHO. - The date is practical, but messes with the symmetry. Likewise, the cyclops is practical, but adds to the overall 'clutteredness". - The Tudor is noticeably thicker than the Daytona. I prefer the proportions of the Daytona. - The Tudor has a signed Rolex crown and caseback which I think is cool. Overall a great watch! I think Tudor did a great job effectively giving us a Daytona with a date, with nods to the past and keeping the design as clean as possible. |

I am hoping Tudor comes out with an in house chronograph movement at Basel 2016.

Can anyone do a side shot of a THC? Curious as to how tall it is.

It has a thick case but the flat case back makes it hug the wrist. dP

Thanks, Dan.
Was a bit worried about the 7753 thickness. Haven't worn any of my ETA chronos since buying an Omega Speedy due to height. Funny, I still love my Pams..... They're plenty tall too. Go figure. I'll get onto checking these out, you guys sure do make it hard to stop buying watches!!! |
