I don't recall when Panerai releases the new model year serials? This year is R serial and I assume next year is S, but couldn't remember if they release toward end of this year or beginning of next year?

I'm looking to possibly pick up a BNIB 233 R serial (now comes with croc strap and production number down to 800 I think?). I assume 25% off is good for one with Euro papers? Also heard rumors that the 233 could go away and be replaced? Not sure if anyone has an update on that statement?

Any advice/experience is greatly appreciated.

The 233 recent changed xtals with a flatter design. I haven't heard anything about it going away.
