Pam ruined me...

I'm a Rolex guy. Have two subs, all I ever wanted. Once I joined this forum I fell in love with panerai. Finally after buying a 000 I now have a hard time wearing my subs.

It's so small! Not just the body but the face! I find myself lusting after more panerai models!

Ugh!!! Damn you Pam!

I'm actually the opposite. I started out a panerai guy and now I have a hard time put them on. I'm almost strictly Rolex but I still have my panerai's.

May I ask where on Paneristi.com or who makes the strap. Also agree that it's fantastic and would like to look into getting one. Searched but couldn't find.

Thanks

Same here.

I had a 47mm Radio then the 312 which is 46 i think then went to luminor cases and now that I'm obsessing over Rolex, I cant even or I don't even understand how I even wore the radio around.

47mm?!?!?!??!?!

You just need time. In some time (could be year(s)), you'll find yourself yearning for something else. It is good not to overreact to quickly and you may find you'll like both. My suggestion, just wear the hell out of the zero and put the subs in the vault for now. I'm betting your love for them will come back.

This is me speaking from my experience.

This. The love will come back once you start missing it. It will happen.

This applies (I hope) to both Rolex and Pam. I have my one and only Panerai, a Pam 88 that helps mix up the rotation with the Rolex pieces. Would love to have a 392 but then after the initial excitement fizzles I am positive it will spend a lot of time in the drawer. I manage to wear the Pam 88 at least one weekend a month, best I could do.

I fall in love with Pam for few months only, bought 3 Pam but sold them away after that. Back to vintage Rolex nowadays. Even my PP and AP Hardly got any wrist time since I enjoy vintage Rolex more

Sort of feel the same.

First was a 16610 and I loved it. Loved wearing it.
Then I got a Pam 005. The sub felt tiny. I love the look of it. But it wears 'small'
Next up was a 232. 47mm and damn is it not my 100% fave. While shopping, I got it used, I tried the BLNR and the explorer. Both felt small. The BLNR sings to me in ads and visually. But it didn't feel right on the wrist. So yeah. Panerai ruined me.

The 422 is with me at the airport today. I left Rolex because they were very common and I ran into too many snooty owners. No reflection on anyone here.

Roger - Love your 422. Does Panerai make something similar to the 422 in a 44mm? I have girly-man wrists and 47mm looks like Big Ben on my wrist!!

Thanks.

Check out this source: http://www.paneraisource.com/models/all.html

The case style is called a 1950 and there are two models in 44mm 1950's cases with similar dial/hands.

1) The 351, which is a 3 day power reserve with small seconds and date, and
2) the 352, which is the same but made in titanium

Both have the in house P9000 automatic movement in them, where the 422 is a manual wind.

You can also just embrace Panerai. Some great designs and "affordable" right now.

Love both Rolex and Pam, no problem switching from one to the other and I have
a 6.5 in wrist. Guess when you love both brands, it's not that hard to wear both.
