New Edition!

I had my eye on this DateJust for the past year at my local jeweler.. So I finally treated myself yesterday and bought it. This is my second Rolex and I'm in love with it!

Is this a new "edition" or new "addition"? I think I know the answer, but just confirming.

Either way, congrats! I'm not much for all the diamonds but it's definitely stunning.

Mmmmm...Is this going to be the second thread from a New Yorker this week that's eventually surprised their diamond covered watch is less then 100% authentic?

Possibly but to each his own. Diamond District here has the whole area covered to do the custom mods from the stones to the watch skills experts
& jewelers, which all think Rolexes Diamonds are way overpriced of course they dont compare but ... when people hear 80k they get a quick reality check & one looking for Diamonds
will quickly settle for one under 10k, so hence the mods.

I'm not criticizing his choice. I live in west LA, there are many many jewelers here that do the same thing by "upgrading" used watches they purchase. To each their own as you say. The larger problem is that the watches are often marketed as authentic. Your average consumer buying from one of these places doesn't realize that half their watch would be changed out by Rolex if they had to send it in for service. That's why I asked the question.

I agree because authentic is misleading, yes it can be an authentic Rolex but once modified..... for those that know, understand the ramifications involved.

Congrats! Not my style, but if you're going to go in, go all in. Looks good! Are those yellow diamonds on the inner links on the bracelet?

Eh? Congrats.

I'm not an expert by any means, but that's a real rolex?

Maybe it's just the picture, but the dial, date wheel, cyclops, and bracelet all look off.

You have a good point, dial looks legit, case sketchy, everything else off though. Kinda got caught up in custom bezel earlier and overlooked those details.
