Let's See your Vacheron Constantin Wathches!!!

Let's see what you got from this great brand,

My one and only at the moment, Vacheron Constantin Chronometre Royal in white gold, from the late 90s, 34mm, absolutely love it

This is a 6399 from the 1950's which used to be my grandfather's. The 33mm case is quite small by today's standards, but I still like it. And it makes me smile when I see someone ask if a 40mm Submariner is too small for their wrist.

Unfortunately it needs a service, as you can see the hours/minutes hands are not in sync.

Lovely watch, looks great on your wrist, must be nice to have your grandfathers watch, those vintage Vacherons are very special.

Thank you.

Yours looks fantastic as well. I had not see the one with romans before, I don't think they make it any more?

Thanks, that specific model has been discontinued, I picked it up at auction a few months ago. I really like how the Romans were done, very clean and subtle.

Looks great. I'm looking to add an overseas next year when the redesign is out.

Really? That's no fun. Is it the positioning of the crown near the lug or something else?

Well the caliber takes like 250 turns to fully wind, which is way too much. And the positioning of the small crown makes turning it somewhat difficult. Half-turns is the best bet. Price of beauty...

Strange as the Patrimony 38mm with the same movement winds much quicker.

250! that's ludicrous

Gorgeous movement though

I need a new black strap for my watch and welcome suggestions. The buckle isn't a vacheron

I have a 1921 and it's easy to wind
Maybe 40 max turns
Something is wrong with yours

Are you serious? I checked with the Hour Lounge forum guys when I got it and they pretty much said it takes an eternity to wind. 40 seems way too little. Even the Patrimony line takes 80 or so.

Very nice models and the angled dial on Jay's makes so much sense.
