How can end link 555 fit into 16710?

Many thanks in advance for any advice given.

I was fiddling with a jubilee bracelet 62510H with 555 end links to my 16710 after seeing the many wonderful photos here. However, I have not been able to fit in the spring bar. The spring bar appears maybe 1mm longer.

I know the right end links should be 502T but is there a way to fit in 555 into the 16710?

Thanks in advance.

The 555 end links are for a DJ. They are the exact same 20mm width as the 502 end links for a GMT.

The difference is a slight contour mismatch (36mm case vs 40mm) and most 555 end links take the DJ 1.8mm wide spring bar where the GMT uses a 2mm spring bar.

The length of either spring bar is the same.

Hi Larry,

Hope you had a great weekend.

Pardon my technical ignorance but does that mean that:
1) I should just bend the 555 end link slightly to fit the "thickness" of GMT and it should be able to fit in;

2) I can still use DJ springbar although the fit is not as tight but it nevertheless can serve the same purpose. There is, I assume, no danger of the springbar slipping.

Many thanks.

1) Depends on what you have. Older end links frequently need a bit of tweaking and bending to fit snuggly to the case

2) Again, depends on what you have. DJ's and GMTs were made with through hole lugs and blind hole lugs.. each take different spring bars.

You need spring bars for a 20 mm space and the right diameter to fit the endlinks and the right pivot diameter to fit the lugs of the watch you are using them on..

Thanks Larry. After fiddling and messing around, I managed to have it attached. Here is the pic:
