I've been anguishing over a decision on which watch to flip in my current rotation to make room for a new piece.

Details: the new piece has yet to be decided and I have a random serial 16610LV and DSSD Blue that are on the chopping block....the watches I'm keeping are a BLNR, SS Daytona, and SD.

Which would you choose to flip and why?

I'd lose the DSSD- Blue. First, it's too big for my liking. Is that one of the reasons that it's on the chopping block? Secondly, you've got some blue in the BLNR that you're keeping, so you'd be losing some redundancy in color. What are you thinking about getting as a replacement?

The size isn't the issue on the Blue, I just can't detach from the others. Ad for a replacement, maybe the YM II in SS or another Sub...forgot to mention I'm keeping my 14060M too!!

Flip the DSSD Blue, you are keeping a SD already and the 16610LV is a unique piece.

i would keep the 16610LV and I would and i have traded away the DSSD/DAYTONA/SD … the bulkier fit watches didn't get a lot of wear for me and although i love the idea of the Daytona, the hour hand would disappear 6 times an hour for me (i just can't read it)

good news is that would give you lots of room and resources for some new and exciting pieces

I'm confused why you're pondering getting rid of one when you don't even have the new one selected. If you haven't found the watch you like better than your current then don't get rid of any.

Flip the DSSD. But I don't know what you should get given the remaining collection. A YM II is the only thing unique but if you had one that's what I'd be saying to flip, unless you are in the unique position of needing to time a regatta. Frankly unless you are thinking PM keep everything you have.

Get the YMII if your knocking off the DSSD.

The No Date Ceramic sub + SD4K is a bit redundant too.
You need a DJ2 in the mix maybe two toned if budget allows.

Sell the 16610Lv, DSSD. (because the SD covers both of them)

and Buy one of these:

By the way, The White Gold YM is a rarity. I haven't even seen one here on TRF!

Thanks Sam and the rest of the TRFer's, guess I'll keep the LV for now!

Sam - as for the car, it's a pic of the steering wheel from a 911 (991) Turbo S, but not mine.....however, I have given Porsche my deposit for 911R (991)...basically it's a 911 GT3 engine and exhaust with a 7-speed manual, and will be officially announced at the Geneva Motorshow in the Spring of 2016....stay tuned!
