Need help identifying this watch
My Mom got this Rolex from her parents in 1969 when she graduated high school. She has only worn it a handful of times. Unfortunately she doesn't have the box and papers anymore. Just the green velvet bag. Does anyone have any idea what model and any information (value) on this Rolex? Any help on this would be great.

Have no idea of the model number except its in the Cellini range but its like many of the cocktail type watches back in the 1950s 1970s as for its value mainly in the gold metal.

My grandmother had the exact same watch.. A Cellini cocktail..Took it to a few dealers and AD's...Basically worthless unless you consider sentimentality.

Value is of course, what you can get for it, and given that they sold once upon a time there is probably still a market for a pristine one at the right price. It IS a Rolex after all.
It would be interesting to know what it sold for originally, although I guess she wouldn't sell it anyhow, given it's sentimental value. It's a lovely watch, someone should wear it.

Crown
OP, this looks similar to my Wiffer's vintage #282 we got a few weeks ago. It has the same crown on the case back. Congrats on having yours already in the family!
