Paris - Mass shootings, suicide bombings and hostages been taken!

Breaking on news about 30 minutes ago. Multiple attacks have been and are being carried out throughout Paris tonight. Absolutely horrendous stuff!

France were playing Germany in a friendly game tonight (football) and you can clearly hear a large explosion halfway through the game. That explosion was apparently a grenade thrown towards one of the entrance gates!

News saying at least 40 dead and approximately 100 taken hostage. No one taken responsibility as yet.

Horrific, just horrific!

Stay safe everyone and thoughts go out to everyone in Paris.

My heart goes out to all those innocent people, terrible news. I can only hope that it ends well for the hostages, but if jihadists, likely, then they are in the hands of lunatics :(

France has now declared a state of emergency and closed all its borders, the world has indeed changed.

This is horrible. Can't imagine what these poor hostages are experiencing. What will it take for this to end.

Prayers go out to all victims and family. It's just terrible.

We saw how good and efficient the French military were after the Charlie Hebdo attack...and the terrorists still do this?!? Must take a frame of mind and twisted belief we cannot even comprehend.

Fox reporting that multiple news sources are reporting attacks at 6 different locations.

Not confirmed, though.

My thoughts are with those who are or shall be affected by these horrible events. I have spent many days and nights in Paris, and throughout France. Lovely people, lovely times. I am sorry for your pain and suffering. You are not alone.
