Deep & dark scratch on polished bezel

Hi everyone, thanks in advance for any suggestions and advice.

I'm pretty careful with my watches but realize that inevitably, they will get their 'everyday' wear which includes some scratches. But these on my PAM seem to be dark and quite noticeable as opposed to your 'normal' hairlines. Not even too sure when & how it happened and just noticed it today. Here are some crude iphone pics but hope you can see them clearly...they are on the polished bezel and case around 5 o'clock.
Running my finger over them, they don't feel like deep dings. Has anyone on the forum ever had similar scratches like these? Any thoughts on a DIY job with cape cod cloths? Naturally I can just wait until service but would love to get your thoughts on doing something now.

Maybe there's some residue from whatever you bumped against? Maybe try thoroughly cleaning? Followed by a little cape cod action? If that doesn't work, maybe see about a bezel replacement? I would imagine it's easy and cheap (I haven't had to do it, so I'm not much help here).

I've dented my Pam bezel and grown guard. Haven't fixed it yet because my Pam is my extreme sports watch and it will happen again. I kind of like the rough look of it beat up.

I don't know what would make them so dark - plus it looks like you managed to get the bezel and the case+lug (or are those reflections)? That's a head-on with a moving object (you were probably the moving object... )

In any event, OP / Richemont will polish it but I wouldn't assume they do a better job than your local watchmaker. So if you can live with it, If not, take it by a watchmaker and get their opinion.

Hahaha! Would have made for a better story but I do think it was created during a kids bday party this past weekend! And yes, that is a corresponding mark on the case as well...similar look and aligned with the make on the bezel.

Just as an upstate, before heading out this morning, I did some scrubbing with my wife's jewelry cleaning brush and with a little bit more "vigorous" scrubbing with a cloth, the marks started to come off!!! Had to head out but will be finish it up later today so as it stands at the moment, it looks like these are just surface scuff marks! I'm optimistic and pumped I don't have to try any diy removal jobs above some cleaning and don't have to send it in.
