Leather straps

I'm thinking about getting a Reverso duo. I don't own any watches with a leather strap and I'm wondering if leather straps get worn out quickly. How does the leather hold up after say 5 years? Some pics would be greatly appreciated!

Depends on the climate, humidity in particular. Also if you use a deployant clasp you will prolong the life of your straps considerably over a tang buckle.

Croc/alligator last much longer than straight cow, and as said, deployants greatly prolong strap life.

Doubtful you’ll see 5 years out of any leather strap – bank on 2, 3 if you’re lucky, and anything beyond as a bonus.

Depends on how much it gets worn and how its stored.

I plan to wear it maybe once or twice a week in rotation with my other watches. I would store it in a regular watch box. My home can get pretty humid in the summer.

I've had mine for over a year and it's fine. A deployant buckle will help.
I do swap the black over on and off for a brown after market one
